How We Work with Candidates
First of all, our services do not cost you a cent. We want to get to know you and find out what you like to do and what you do best. We'll try to get an idea of what you and your family really are looking for in a new opportunity. Your resume will not leave our desk unless you express interest and we decide to move forward.
We understand your career is one of the most important aspects of your life.
It should be treated with care and professionalism. We will always treat your ambitions or situations with dignity and respect. All information about you is kept confidential and will only be released with your agreement and understanding.
When interest is mutual, we will begin moving the process forward.
At this point we differentiate ourselves from most other recruiters. We are with you all the way! Whether it's a review of your resume, helping you understand the characteristics of the corporate culture, how the company measures success or where this position will lead your career…we can assist you in determining if this opportunity is right for you and aligns with your career strategy. We will keep you informed all along the process and will do everything we can to prepare you for this opportunity. We often play a neutral third party role to assist in answering unasked questions, work out the details of an offer, help determine relocation costs, or even attempt to find employment for your spouse…regardless of the problem, we can often find a solution for you and our client.
At Wise Executive Resources, we do not "float" resumes. We match you against known job opportunities.
We will try to match your qualifications with known job opportunities. If an opportunity we are currently working on fills that bill, we will review it with you. If you are interested, we will send you information on the interview process and the company. We'll provide sources for you to do your own research. We are here to help you put your best foot forward throughout the interview process.
We will not try to sell you on taking an opportunity. We will ask you for a decision, once you have all the facts, and will want to know why, if you are not interested in a specific opportunity, but we will not twist your arm to take a position. This does not work for any of us!
If we don't contact you, please know we will be adding your information into a database at Wise Executive Resources for future reference. Later as we uncover new opportunities, we can then easily match you against that position's qualifications and requirements. Just submit your resume, and we can get you entered into our database.
And this is what we need from you.
We will ask you to prepare for the interview by reading the material sent to you and by doing additional research on the company. We will schedule a specific 20 to 30 minute session to review what should be covered in each interview with the client. We'll tell you what we know about the interviewers.
When an interview is completed, either by phone or in person, we need your immediate feedback, good - bad- or indifferent! This is the only way we can facilitate the process. We must talk with you before we get back in touch with the hiring manager. We will want to know what was discussed, how did the hiring manager leave the interview with you and are you interested in the position and proceeding to the next step? If you are not interested in proceeding, we will want to know your reason(s). This will help us in screening other opportunities for you.
The Interview and Decision Process.
Most clients we work with operate with at least two interviews. Usually, this involves (1) a telephone interview followed by (2) a face-to-face interview. It is very important for you to know that most of your decision process will occur prior to the face-to-face interview (if it is the second interview). Therefore, we want to make sure all your questions are already answered or will be answered at the time of the face-to-face interview.
The final decision at the face-to-face interview for you should be: are these people I can work with and is this a place where I want to work (providing the offer comes in as we had discussed previously). Assuming everything goes as planned (you wouldn't be going forward if that weren't the assumption, right?), we expect an offer within 24 hours and you need to be prepared to make a decision within 24 hours. As mentioned, we would have already discussed what the minimum offer must be prior to scheduling the final interview.
If you answer yes to both and if we get an offer equal to or above what we have agreed to, then it is a done deal! You then accept, resign your current position and never look back.
